Hope Asaiah

May 12th marked the one year anniversary since Hope Asaiah was born and spent 3 short hours with this amazing family. I got to know them during the winter of 2010. I was pregnant at the time as well, and Jenn was due 3 months after me. Little Hope had a cyst on her brain, and despite the doctors' encouragement to end the pregnancy, this family, full of faith that God was at work, could not even think about ending this life that was given to them. You can read more of their story here. I love this family!!!!!!!!! It has been so encouraging to walk beside them through this trial. God does not waste anything. He used this little girl's life to draw both this family and the many families in our church to a greater knowledge of Him! Praise be to God!

On May 12, 2011, we got together with this group of friends to celebrate the life of Hope Asaiah on her birthday. The family shared how God had been at work through this trial and then prayed and sent off balloons in her honor. We were so privileged to be able to share in the joy of this little girl's life and to give God the glory for what he has done!

Only because of Jesus is JOY like this possible, especially through trials.
