She also loves being read to. She's very intent when she wants to be. Look at her focusing on the photos as her Daddy reads her a bedtime story :)

It's June already!?! Hannah (8 weeks tomorrow)
Last weekend was quite the eventful one! Paul has been wanting to run another race around town for quite a while, and unfortunately, the race times don't seem to ever be at a convenient time. The last one he wanted to run was on the day I was delivering the wedding cake to church. I needed and very much appreciated his help that day! There was a 5K that he was going to run in Madisonville (45 minutes away) whose proceeds would go to help a church with a mission trip they were taking. It sounded like a great race, except for that whole leaving at 6am to get there in time for registration..... not a fan :( Lo and behold! I went to my 6 week appointment at Lisa Ross Birthing Center and they were sponsoring a 1 mile walk or 5K run at Victor Ashe Park (5 minutes from our house). YAY. Thankfully, Paul hadn't pre-registered for the Madisonville race yet, so we promptly changed our plans, and this time, I was planning on running a 5K, with a week and a half's worth notice. Haha. I hadn't run more than 2 miles in my entire life, and I'm not sure I'd run two miles since the baby....maybe I had, I don't remember. Well, I went ahead and increased my mileage over the next week. I did a practice 3 mile run on the Saturday before the race. I knew I could run 3 miles, but not so sure about all this heat and humidity they were calling for. The race began at 10am, which is well into the heat of the day if you ask me! As for Paul, he didn't really need to gear up for this run. He kindly and graciously offered to run with me, push the stroller, and offer encouragement along the way. It was super fantastic running the 5K with Paul and Hannah at my side! We also thoroughly enjoyed the fact that we were supporting the birth center, who we now have close ties with. And, it was an excuse to see my two favorite midwives! yay!
Regarding Miss Hannah: June 2nd was the first time that she slept for 7 hours. Momma was extremely happy about that. She has continued this cycle for the past 6 days and I am starting to feel like a human being again. She keeps changing what she does every week, so we keep adjusting and trying to work with her regarding a schedule. She goes about 3-3 1/2 hours between a feeding. Yesterday she was crazy off schedule. She ate a ton in the AM and then wouldn't wake up in the afternoon. BUT, she slept for 7 hours, so I'm content! She is also getting stronger and holding her head up for longer periods of time. Even just the past week she was showing improvement in the Tummy Tub (thanks Dad). For the first time, she didn't drink bath water :) Isn't she cute wet?
